Report on the Activities of the Chair during the Calendar Year 2013

The CHC Annual Report 2013 highlights the major academic, research, and public engagement initiatives undertaken by the C.H. Mohammed Koya Chair for Studies on Developing Societies, University of Calicut. During the year, the Chair organized a series of seminars, colloquia, memorial lectures, graduate research conferences, and discussions on social transformation, media, Indo-cultural relations, and contemporary issues. A notable event was the C.H. Mohammed Koya Memorial Seminar, featuring Dr. Shashi Tharoor as the keynote speaker. The report also records the appointment of a Research Officer, the republication of the book C.H. Mohammed Koya, and the continued growth of the Chair’s library and research resources, reaffirming its commitment to promoting scholarly research and preserving the intellectual and cultural heritage of Malabar.
