MINORITY POLITICS Kerela Model and Indian Potential

Focusing on the theme "Minority Politics: The Kerala Model and Indian Potential."

Inaugurated by Panakkad Syed Munavvarali Shihab Thangal with a keynote address by political observer Shajahan Madampat, the program explores how Kerala's unique brand of minority political organization has successfully secured proportional representation and a strong sense of equal citizenship for its Muslim population. The speakers contrast this successful "Kerala Model" with the political marginalization of minorities in North India, discussing the urgent need for marginalized groups to organize politically to defend their constitutional rights against rising right-wing ideologies.

The event concludes with an in-depth audience Q&A tackling the future of secularism, identity politics, and democratic resistance in India.
